Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon Pregnant at 44 After 20-Year IVF Battle: “We Feel Like We’ve Been Given the World”

In a touching Instagram video, the singer is seen sitting in a sunlit garden before revealing her blossoming baby bump with the simple yet powerful message: “I’m pregnant!” Overwhelmed with emotion, Liz explained that she had attempted to record a talking video but found herself too choked up, choosing instead to share the joyful news quietly.
Liz, who married her partner Peter Cho in 2023, described her IVF journey as “sometimes quite painful” and filled with “dark times”. She opened up about the emotional toll of years spent battling infertility, sharing, “I just can’t believe we’re here. So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from friends and fans. Fellow pop star Michelle Heaton commented, “So unbelievably happy for you both… the road’s been so unkind, but look at you now!” Atomic Kitten bandmate Natasha Hamilton added: “This little miracle is everything.”
Liz previously revealed she underwent emergency surgery years ago after being wrongly diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. Doctors later discovered her fallopian tubes were stuck together due to a serious gynaecological issue, which contributed to her fertility struggles.
Now, as she prepares to welcome her first child, Liz says she’s full of gratitude and hopes to use her experience to help others. “I want to add my voice to the conversation around IVF and loss,” she said.
