FRAUGHT FERGIE Sarah Ferguson ‘bereft’ at Andrew losing Royal Lodge’ & moans she has ‘nowhere to go’… despite pair demanding TWO homes

The former Duchess of York is ‘completely on edge’ amid the growing scandal, sources say

SARAH Ferguson is “bereft” after her ex-husband Prince Andrew agreed to leave Royal Lodge, it is understood.

Sources claim Fergie, 66, has bemoaned having “nowhere to go” amid the scandal – despite the pair demanding two homes in return for their exit.

This week, The Sun revealed the former Duke of York was willing to leave the 30-room mansion in return for homes for both him and his ex-wife.

Andy, 65, demanded Harry and Meghan’s former Windsor pad Frogmore Cottage in exit talks with Palace bosses.

Workmen have been seen “for weeks” at the property, which the Sussexes spent £2.4million on in 2019.

There has been renewed activity at the Grade II-listed property, where Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie briefly lived.

EMAIL STORM Andy MUST have known about Fergie’s email to paedo Epstein, says royal expert
Meanwhile, the former Duchess has lined up Adelaide Cottage, which will become vacant when Prince William and Princess Kate leave next month.

But sources have since said that Fergie is “absolutely bereft” and “completely on edge” amid the growing scandal.

Her pals claim she has “nowhere to go”, despite having her eyes on the Waleses’ home, which will be empty within weeks.

They told MailOnline: “She is contrite and embarrassed but also fears the scandal has fatally damaged her own business interests.

“People don’t want to be associated with her any more. The honest truth is that she has nowhere to go and no one to go with

“Her future is hanging in the balance.”

Andrew and his ex-wife have faced mounting revelations about their links to Epstein.

This is thought to have led to Buckingham Palace believing they need to move out.

King Charles has long wanted his younger brother out of the luxury Windsor pad, where he has not paid rent for 20 years.

Neither house would require renovations or cost taxpayers more on security as they lie within the Windsor Castle security perimeter.

William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis are braced to leave Adelaide Cottage and move into nearby Forest Lodge.

And Wills and Kate reportedly want Andrew out of the Royal Lodge in a matter of days – before they “move in next door”.

The royal couple are said to want to move into Forest Lodge, also in Windsor Great Park, before Bonfire Night.

They want the disgraced former Duke of York gone by the time they move to their eight-bedroom home, which is just over a mile from Royal Lodge.

A source close to Sarah insisted that she had been offered the keys to Adelaide Cottage back in May – but turned it down.

However, the idea that the Palace first made the offer was later denied by a royal source.

The source close to Sarah told The Sun: “A number of options were put to them and this is one of them a few months back.

“It was put to them, not at their request.”

A friend of the couple said the situation has “cranked up” after Andrew agreed to give up his royal titles amid links to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Sarah was also dropped from several charities after we revealed she called the convicted sex offender her “supreme friend” in a gushing email.

There has yet to be any formal announcement on Andrew and Sarah’s future at Royal Lodge despite ongoing talks.

Some insiders believe the Palace is poised to make a statement, ending the so-called “Siege of Royal Lodge”.

Fergie’s potential future home, Adelaide Cottage, is described as a “modest” family home with four bedrooms.

It is situated just five minutes from Frogmore Cottage, which could potentially become her ex-husband’s new home.

Adelaide Cottage was modernised in 2015 and did not require any work when Kate and Wills moved in three years ago.

The master bedroom is said to retain golden dolphins and ceiling rope decorations recycled from a 19th century royal yacht.

Descriptions of the home in 1831 said it was “chastely elegant” and “its locale affords a delightful shade at all hours of the day”.

It previously served as the home of Group Captain Peter Townsend, who famously had an affair with the late Queen’s sister Princess Margaret.

Given Adelaide Cottage’s location in Home Park in the Castle grounds, it is unlikely to be for sale at any stage.

But the sprawling property would be valued at around £6million on the open market.

Fergie’s friends have also said she feels like she deserves a royal home to see out her years.

She has previously spoken about feeling short-changed by her 1996 divorce settlement.

The former Duchess received £600,000-£800,000 — compared to Princess Diana who is said to have netted £17million.

The growing scandal comes on the week Andrew’s sex abuse accuser – whose claims he has always denied – published her posthumous memoir.

Virginia Giuffre told in her book how she was haunted by images of “greedy, heaving men” who abused her.

She fled paedo Jeffrey Epstein and his lover Ghislaine Maxwell in 2002 but reveals she was still affected years later.

In her book Nobody’s Girl — released following her suicide in April — Virginia talked about living with an “emotional time bomb”.
