Tears and Strength: Jessie J Says Goodbye Before Breast Cancer Battle Begins: One last song. One last tear. And now — a life on the line. Jessie J left the stage not for a break, but to face a fight that could change everything

Jessie J gave an emotional performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball, revealing to fans that it would be her final show before undergoing surgery for breast cancer.

Taking to the stage at Wembley Stadium, the 36-year-old singer fought back tears as she thanked the crowd for their support during what she described as a deeply challenging and perspective-altering chapter in her life. “Today, this show is my last before I go to beat breast cancer,” she told fans. “It’s so special to me, you have no idea. I’m so grateful for this life, for my son, my partner, my family, my crew — all of you.”

The pop star, who recently revealed she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, added candidly: “It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job. But I’ll be disappearing for a while after this show for surgery… and then I’ll be back, with music — and boobs.”

Jessie’s heartfelt moment on stage was met with applause, but also visible emotion as she paused, voice trembling: “I just need to talk about it. I need to process it. I need a hug. You’ve all loved me through the good and the hard times, and I don’t want this to be any different.”

The singer, who welcomed her first child, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023 after suffering a miscarriage in 2021, has been open about her emotional and physical battles — sharing her story to help others feel less alone.

Now, with surgery looming, Jessie is stepping away from the spotlight, but not before one final moment of music, vulnerability, and strength.
