This is the final image of Saman Gunan, a former Thai Navy SEAL who tragically lost consciousness and passed away while returning from a mission to deliver air tanks to the 12 boys and their football coach, who were trapped in the flooded Tham Luang cave complex in 2018.

Gilles Leclerc and Marianne Labanane took this selfie at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris in 2015. Shortly after, they were shot at Gilles did not survive, but Marianne did.

A dashcam captured the moments leading up to the crash of TransAsia Flight 235 into the Keelung River in Taiwan. Out of the 58 people aboard the aircraft, only 15 survived the devastating accident.
