Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Reveals How Jason Statham Being a ‘Big Kid’ Affects Their Parenting

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham‘s home life has been a bit of a secret, until now. In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Huntington-Whiteley talked about the “absolute priority” that is making sure her family has a great life; and how Statham is an amazing papa.

“Jason is a very involved and super-hands-on dad and such a supportive partner to me. I call him the human playground because he’s constantly got the kids on his back, rolling around. He’s so playful,” she said. “The man has insane amounts of energy, it’s boundless. He’s a big kid himself but also an upbeat reinforcement and positive influence on them, and incredibly attentive, loving and capable.”

Isn’t that awesome? We rarely get details about the Huntington-Whitely-Statham family, but it’s so wonderful to hear that the family is full of joy and love. Plus, Huntington-Whitely even told the outlet why they decide to move away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood for London.

“It was always part of the plan to raise the kids here [in London],. We love the schools, the education. They’re growing up British with their little British accents, which was important for us, and we have a great support system here,” she said, nothing that another major reason they wanted to move to London in 2020 was for Statham’s career. She added, “He was like, ‘I’m going to be away from you and the kids for big stretches [shooting movies]. If we move to London, I can make everything there.’ So that was a really big reason. He goes to work and comes home at the end of the day, which is pretty special for somebody in his line of work.”

For those who don’t know, Huntington-Whiteley and her fiancé Statham have been together since 2010, soon after meeting at a party in London. They later got engaged back in early 2016, and now have two children together: a son named Jack Oscar, born on June 24, 2017, and a daughter named Isabella James, born on Feb 2, 2022.

In a previous interview with SheKnows, Huntington-Whiteley revealed how she loves learning from fellow moms, especially from those in her #MomSquad.

“I’m always fascinated to learn how working moms juggle it all. How all moms juggle it all. Because it’s a juggling act whether you’re working or not,” she said. “I personally always leave conversations with other mothers feeling that I learned something or feeling inspired or comforted by their advice or opinions on things and I certainly hope other mothers leave conversations with me feeling the same.”
