Former adult star Adriana Chechik ‘cries’ telling ‘morbid joke’ about trying to get out of porn
The former adult star, who retired in 2022 after nearly a decade in the business, poked fun at the narrative during a livestream by putting on an over-the-top fake crying act.
“I tried. I tried so hard. I tried so hard to get out,” Chechik joked dramatically, before saying: “And my pimp, he just like… You know, I love my job.”
Realizing how dark the joke sounded, she quickly added: “Was that too morbid of a joke? Was that a little too morbid for you guys?”
The moment landed because Chechik has long been unusually open about enjoying her time in the adult entertainment world, rather than distancing herself from it after leaving the industry.
“Twitch has been the best blessing for me”
She was one of the biggest names in adult film during her career from 2013 to 2022, before stepping away to focus on a different path.
Since retiring, she has reinvented herself as a streamer and content creator, building a large following on Twitch and Instagram. She now has more than 860,000 followers on Twitch and another 4.2 million on Instagram.
Speaking on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast in November 2023, she explained how much the platform had changed her life.
“Twitch has been the best blessing for me,” she said, according to UNILAD. “I wasn’t even making money from it at first, but I was just somewhere where people were valuing me for me.”
At the same time, Chechik admitted she often felt disconnected from the outside world while working in the adult industry.
“I was craving intellectuality and learning, and I just wasn’t getting it. I was so enwrapped in porn that I didn’t have any notion of the outside world,” she said.
